Zhongshan, which was called XiangShan, is the hometown of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the great forerunner of China's democratic revolution. Zhongshan is situated in the Pearl River Delta Region of Guangdong Province, on the west bank of the estuary of the Pearl River. It is geographically connected with Guangzhou (capital of Guangdong Province) on the north and in vicinity of HongKong and Macao. Zhongshan is a beautiful and dynamic city. Zhongshan’s GDP is Guandong Top 5 and the people of Zhongshan are diligent, intelligent, friendly and passionate. Zhongshan is the first city in China to get the Habitat Scroll of Honor Award by UN’s Human Settlement Center. Zhongshan is an important traffic node in the west bank of Pearl River. From Zhongshan it only takes you 1 hour drive to Macau, 1.5 hr drive to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, or 1.5 hour ferry to HongKong. With further development, Zhongshan will become the transport hub of Pearl River Delta.
